Last year, there was supposed to be a huge blizzard in New Yor
The media hyperventilated for days, and the forecasts got so dire that New York's mayor closed the entire city before a single flake had fallen.
Of course, the forecasts proved overblown, and they have got six inches of snow. So New York businesses lost billions of dollars-worth of revenue and productivity for nothing.
This year, thankfully, the predicted "snowmageddon" hit on a Saturday, so people, on the base of their last year experience, didn't worry about…
And the storm actually was huge!
On the 24th of January 2016, New Yorkers and other north-american people were about 18 hours into the snow storm, and an impressive 40 centimetres have fallen…
There was state of emergency announced in the city, goods are hard to get at the stores, schools, public places and most of the workplaces were closed, the pubic transport didn't work, cars were stuck into the snow, and there wasn't strom in a part of the city. The 'snowmageddonű' was maybe there.
But, on the empty streets, you could see people, kids, families, dogs to play and walk together…
